Entrepreneurial training and micro credit programs often focus on training young people to become borrowers. But they also need strong financial management skills and saving habits to achieve sustainable business and personal success.

Educational materials are readily available in developed countries. In Latin America and the Caribbean, they are not widespread. This is the gap that YABT aims to fill with this initiative.
 

YABT was granted by the Permanent Mission of Canada to the Organization of American States to initiate the program, which will draw upon existing educational materials developed by organizations and other financial institutions internationally. Canada’s seed funding will be designated for research and development of the project.
