The Financial Education program is planned to reach young people of the Americas and provide them with the  necessary skills to succeed in life and businesses using bank resources.   

The project contemplates interactive on-line and on-site activities for young entrepreneurs with business potential.

The first activity was the Seminar "Putting Together the Pieces" , a Cash Management workshop organized by the Young Americas Business Trust in collaboration with Citibank and held at the OAS General Secretariat Building on April 6, 2006.

The group of participants was comprised by young professionals from countries of the Americas that are doing an internship at the OAS.

The seminar itself had the three defined objectives :

• Understand and meet individual’s  financial goals

• Prioritize expenses without neglecting savings

• Daily budget management

This seminar was the first of many upcoming activities that YABT will develop in this field. This activities will be taking place in all the OAS Member States.
