YABT brought "InnovAction" to Argentina
YABT brought “Ideas of Action” to Argentina’s Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) from November 2 to 10; introducing numerous events promoting and implementing programs that encourage and develop entrepreneurship.
From November 2 to 6, thirty-eight government officials and project directors of various sectors from over twenty different provinces of Argentina participated in the workshop “InnovAction Laboratory for Intrapreneurs” in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
InnovAction (Innovative Action) Laboratories build capacity among individuals to identify and manage opportunities for innovation. Primary beneficiaries are entrepreneurial-minded individuals within an organization, also known as Intrapreneur, who are capable of pioneering innovative strategies.
"The workshop indeed has generated a great synergy effect. I believe it was a timely chance to exchange of ideas among industries and institution, as well to promote awareness of intellectual property rights. Also, forming a network among related institutions and governmental agencies will positively impact in stimulating adequate technological improvements through their own innovation," mentioned Yeruti Mendez, a Director of Training and Technology, Young Americas Business Trust (YABT).
The workshop is part of Nex Links Program, executed by YABT and the Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of foreign Affairs of Israel (MASHAV); financed by the Special Multilateral Fund of Inter-American Council for Integral Development (FEMCIDI) of the OAS. InnovAction was designed to promote entrepreneurial initiative, incorporating innovation and social responsibility by individuals within the organization.
Following this event, on November 10, YABT signed a cooperation agreement with Union Argentina for Young Entrepreneurs (UNAJE), a body of young entrepreneurs’ representatives of the Industrial Union of Argentina (IUA); a milestone for their three years of collaboration in the past.
On behalf of the UIA attended Mr. Luis Gonzalez Estevez and Dr. Victoria Giulietti. The agreement was signed by YABT CEO Mr. Roy Thomasson, and Federico Cuomo, President of UNAJE
During this event Yeruti Mendez, Director of YABT, launched the international business competition: Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas “TIC Americas 2010”. The competition facilitates business acceleration of young entrepreneurs.,
UNAJE and the MERCOSUR Block will lead TIC Americas in the region. The MERCOSUR Block is a group of Youth Associations from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
These events are part of the YABT’s continuous initiative in Latin America and the Caribbean region, offering the opportunity to follow up programs to increase their entrepreneurial spirit, changing the lives of young entrepreneurs and their countries.
