The Young
Americas Business Trust (YABT), through their Chief Executive Officer,
Mr. Roy Thomasson and the Director of the Business Incubator CreaMe, Ms.
María Liliana Gallego, signed an Agreement of Cooperation. This
agreement will permit, by the joining of forces, the development and perfection
of the capabilities of the youth entrepreneurs of the Americas, and especially,
of the youth of Colombia, who in the foreseeable future will be able to
have greater and greater opportunities to do business.
The signing
of the agreement took place at TecnoParque, Medellín, within the
framework of a lunch organized by the Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje
(SENA), where distinguished authorities joined YABT, among those that
stood out: the Secretary General of the OAS, H.E. José Miguel Insulza;
the Assistant Secretary General of the OAS, Ambassador Albert R. Ramdin;
the Permanent Representative of Bolivia to the OAS, Reynaldo Cuadros Anaya
and the Director of SENA, Mr. Darío Montoya, who said: " In
SENA we are convinced that the future is constructed by generating better
opportunities of employment for the youth, demonstrating the importance
of YABT".
CreaMe is
a Business Incubator for the formulation, management and implementation
of companies, programs, projects and strategies for productive and competitive
business development. YABT and CreaMe share purposes and common objectives;
through it they will cooperate in the development and implementation of
programs and activities of mutual interest for the Colombian youth.
During his intervention, the Chief Executive Officer of YABT, Mr. Roy
Thomasson, declared that: "It is for us most encouraging to be the
agents of the multiplication of activities related to entrepreneurship,
we consider that CreaMe is an important partner in the formation of young
entrepreneurs".
The Young
Americas Business Trust is an initiative of the private sector that works
in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the OAS, with the purpose
of reducing poverty and unemployment basing it on the skills advancement
and training of young entrepreneurs for the generation of sustainable
businesses.
