Business-Led Solutions to Combat Corruption and Improve Transparency: Firm-Level and Collective Action Initiatives

"The Young Americas Business Trust, The World Bank Institute, InWent, and The Youth and Development Outreach Program of the Inter-American Development Bank are going to host the event: "Business-Led Solutions to Combat Corruption and Improve Transparency: Firm-Level and Collective Action Initiatives " on December 9, 2006 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil ."
This initiative will gather targeted university students, representatives from the private, public and civil society sectors to facilitate critical thinking about how the private sector can contribute to fighting corruption and improving transparency on the firm and collective action levels.
These workshops will apply an action oriented methodology by presenting a case study for the participants to read and analyze. This method presents a more dynamic and results-driven approach to identifying and implementing solutions for the challenges they may face in their own communities or companies.
The full day event will be divided into three main sessions:
• Session 1: Business-Led Solutions to Combat Corruption and Improve Transparency: Firm-Level and Collective Action Initiatives . Target audience is university students and future leaders.
• Session 2: Business-Led Solutions to Combat Corruption and Improve Transparency: Firm-Level and Collective Action Initiatives . Target audience is private sector, government and civil society representatives.
• Session 3: Entrepreneurial Attitude focused on promotion of youth related initiatives and programs in Brazil.
