The Young Americas Business Trust and the Universidad
Latina de Panama (ULAT), carried out the
International Video Conference call: "Centers and
University Programes of Support for Enterprising
Young people of Latin America", celebrated
on April 3rd with the participation of four countries
of the region: Chile, Colombia, Guatemala
and Panama.
This international video conference had as main
purposes to exchange better practices, to identify
study cases and to strengthen the collaboration
between universities and organizations of Latin
America that promote entrepreneurship
The following institutions participated in the video
conference call: the Universidad de Concepcion,
Chile; the Universidad de Medellin, Colombia;
the Universidad Rafael Landivar, Guatemala; and
the Universidad Latina de Panama, Panama. Each
university presented information of its
programs and of the main aspects of their support
to entrepreneurial students during the development of their business projects. In addition,
they emphasized the important alliances that they
have developed to offer a greater support to the
entrepreneurs.
Representative authorities of different sectors of
the society from each country also participated,
fostering a space to share experiences about the
support to the entrepreneurial youth of the region.
At the same time, it was an opportunity to know
the main aspects of entrepreneurship in an international
level, gathering academic experts that
conduct entrepreneurship programs in their
respective universities
Eng. Manuel Lorenzo, from the Business Accelerator
of Panama from the Ciudad del Saber, gave a
lecture regarding the development of synergies
between the business labs and the universities to
accelerate the projects of the young students
